Reflection Blog Post

I really enjoyed COM 210 this semester. Some of my favorite parts were using Photoshop to create a poster displaying a variety of clothes I’ve thrifted and also doing the same by creating a video in Premiere. I enjoyed the fact that we mainly relied on our own content because it allowed me to display my creative side and see others as well. Although I had some prior familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator, this class taught me more than I knew. I believe that since Photoshop is such a complex application, there is always more I can learn about it, whether it’s a whole new feature or ways to apply things faster. I also have previously used other video editing software, but never Premeire. It was fun to learn how to use a new software to edit videos, especially since Premiere was more advanced than what I was used to. I honestly really enjoy multimedia content creation, and although I am unsure of exactly what I see in my future, it would be amazing if I could hone my skills even more and use editing in my future. One source that I stumbled upon that was super helpful for making my video and that I will continue to use in the future is the Youtube channel “Audio Library.” I really dislike the cheesy music that people use to create videos, but I don’t want to get copyrighted, so I was struggling to find a median. This youtube channel offers a variety of no copyright music that allowed and will continue to allow me to find perfect music for my videos. At first, I was unsure about an online class in this area of study, but I ultimately think it worked out super well and probably a lot better than a classroom setting would have. I like to be able to learn and work at my own pace, and this class allowed me to do just that. I really enjoyed this class and will take away a lot from it moving forward. šŸ™‚
